Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products, Inc. (SEIP), in conjunction with our sister companies, SFP (Japan HQ), SumiPac (Taiwan) and SESP (Germany) have increased the Dimensional Life durations for the AS23053 tubing products that we produce.
Dimensional Life is the new term adopted in AS23053 that replaces old terms you may be familiar with such as shelf-life, DOE, or storage life used in the older legacy documents MIL-I-23053, MIL-DTL-23053, and AMS-DTL-23053. Our AS23053 labels and test reports will now use the “Dimensional Life” terminology and extended duration dating shown below, effective immediately. The maximum storage temperature remains 35º C when stored properly in the original unopened packaging, out of direct sunlight, and at normal room temperature unless otherwise noted. Storage conditions include storage during transportation.
Dimensional life is based upon our standard size products, except for special size products. It applies only to sizes listed in AS23053.
